The Adamawa State Poverty Alleviation and Wealth Creation Agency (PAWECA) has commenced the deployment of graduating trainees from its Technical Skills Acquisition Centre under a three-month Local Apprenticeship Scheme aimed at strengthening practical skills and promoting self-reliance.

According to the agency, each trainee is issued an identification and attachment letter introducing them to host trainers within their respective trades. The letter confirms that the bearer has completed the prescribed training, demonstrating “satisfactory competence, discipline, and commitment” throughout the programme.

PAWECA stated that the apprenticeship phase is structured to deepen industry exposure, improve hands-on proficiency, and accelerate readiness for entrepreneurship and employment.

Host trainers have been tasked with providing supervision, mentorship, and the necessary support to ensure successful completion of the attachment.

The agency expressed confidence in the trainees’ ability to uphold the Centre’s standards during placement, noting that the initiative aligns with its broader mandate of driving practical skill development, job creation, and economic empowerment across Adamawa State.
