The company explained that selected trainees will undergo a combination of hands-on technical experience, structured engineering training, and exposure to real operational and project environments across its operations.

Seplat Energy stated that participants in the programme will develop core engineering competencies, technical problem-solving abilities, and professional workplace skills that will prepare them for demanding technical and operational responsibilities within the organisation.

Trainees will work closely with experienced professionals while gaining practical exposure to industry-grade systems, tools, and operational processes that can help build long-term careers in the energy sector.

As part of the eligibility requirements, applicants must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree with Second Class Upper (2:1) from a recognised university in a relevant pure science or engineering discipline.

Applicants are also required to have a minimum of five O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English Language, obtained in one sitting.

In addition, candidates must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme and possess either a valid discharge certificate or an exemption letter.

Seplat Energy said it is looking for analytical, curious, and technically minded graduates with strong technical fundamentals and an interest in hands-on problem solving.

Successful applicants are expected to demonstrate analytical thinking, willingness to learn in a fast-paced technical environment, commitment to safety and quality standards, and the ability to work effectively in teams.

Other qualities listed by the company include strong communication skills, learning agility, digital awareness, good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, and the ability to take ownership of assigned responsibilities.

Seplat Energy stated that applications for the 2026 Technical Graduate Trainee Programme will close on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

The company also noted that all applications and information submitted by candidates will be treated confidentially and only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
