Applications are now open for the ITF-NECA Technical Skills Development Programme, an initiative designed to equip young Nigerians with practical technical and entrepreneurial skills that are highly demanded in today’s workforce.
The programme is organized by the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) and the Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA) in collaboration with Nigerian Breweries Plc. Qualified young Nigerians with good character and a strong desire to learn are invited to apply for the intensive 12-month training programme.
Available Training Areas
Successful applicants will receive training in the following areas:
- Mechatronics – Packaging Operations
- Mechatronics – Brewing and Utilities Operations
- Mechatronics – Corrective Maintenance
- Operational Quality
- Logistics Operations
Programme Objectives
The programme aims to train and empower young Nigerians with industry-relevant technical and entrepreneurial skills. It also promotes collaboration between the public and private sectors in vocational and technical skills development.
Training Location and Benefits
The programme is non-residential. Training will take place at the Supply Chain Academy of Nigerian Breweries Plc in Ibadan, while industrial attachments may be conducted at brewery locations in Lagos, Aba, Ibadan, Enugu, Ota, Ijebu Ode, and Kaduna.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must possess:
- Credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
- A Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least a Lower Credit from a recognized institution.
For Mechatronics programmes, eligible disciplines include Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Physics, Instrument Engineering, and Computer Engineering.
For Operational Quality and Logistics Operations, eligible disciplines include Chemical Engineering, Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Food Science Technology, Laboratory Science, Applied Physics, and Computer Science.
Applicants must also have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme and completed the mandatory AI Fluency Course available on the International Organization of Employers (IOE) Learning Platform. The AI Fluency certificate will be required during the application process.
