The Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) has announced that a Computer-Based Test (CBT) for shortlisted candidates will take place soon.
This announcement was made by the Chairman, Professor Tunji Olaopa, who assured shortlisted candidates in the ongoing recruitment exercise that the CBT will be conducted soon.
In a statement personally signed by him over the weekend, Olaopa described online claims that the CBT had been cancelled and that recruitment had already been completed as false, frivolous, and misleading.
He stressed that arrangements for the exercise are already in place, while the Commission awaits the provision of adequate resources needed to support the process. According to him, the CBT will be conducted once the necessary resources are made available.
Olaopa also clarified that the Commission only conducted interviews for candidates with qualifications in science, technical and vocational subjects, mathematics, and engineering-related fields. He explained that the interviews were carried out following a request from the Federal Ministry of Education, which urgently needed teachers in those categories for Federal Unity Schools.
The Chairman added that the interview exercise has not affected the planned CBT and urged shortlisted candidates to remain calm and await official communication from the Commission regarding the recruitment process.
