The African Youth Peace Corps (AYPC) has announced a free digital skills training programme for October, open to both AYPC members and non-members.
The programme will run across four weekends, with participants learning different digital and personal development skills through live online sessions on Google Meet.
The first weekend, October 10 and 11, will focus on Cyber Security and the Threat Landscape. Participants will learn about digital threats and ways to stay secure in an increasingly connected world.
The second session, scheduled for October 17 and 18, will cover ChatGPT and AI Productivity Skills, focusing on how AI tools can support smarter and more productive work.
On October 24 and 25, participants will learn Content Creation and Online Skills, including practical skills for creating digital content and building an online presence.
The final weekend, October 30 and 31, will focus on Communication and Leadership Skills, including effective communication, confidence and positive influence.
The training sessions will hold from 4:30 p.m. daily and participation is free. The programme is open to everyone, including people who are not AYPC members.
The training also offers participants an opportunity to connect with other young people, gain practical knowledge and discover opportunities within the AYPC community, and develop useful skills for the changing digital economy.
How to apply
Interested participants can register for the free training through the African Youth Peace Corps platform at www.aypcafrica.org. The organisation also encourages interested young people to invite others to participate.
