The Aliko Dangote Foundation (ADF), in collaboration with the Federal Government through the Federal Ministry of Education, has introduced the Student Share Grant Initiative to promote financial inclusion and encourage investment among eligible Nigerian students.

The initiative is linked to the Initial Public Offering (IPO) of Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals FZE (DPRP). It targets students aged 18 and above currently enrolled in qualifying public or private tertiary institutions in Nigeria.

Under the scheme, students must complete the required verification process and apply for at least 10 shares in the DPRP IPO through the designated student subscription channel.

Eligible students who successfully complete verification and apply for the shares may qualify for additional support from ADF. The foundation will submit a separate application for 10 more DPRP shares on their behalf, at no cost to them.

The additional application is limited to 10 shares per eligible student, regardless of the number of shares personally requested. This means students can seek an additional share application without paying for it separately.

However, participation does not guarantee that students will receive 20 shares. Neither their personal applications nor those submitted by ADF guarantee allotment. All applications remain subject to the DPRP IPO terms and the applicable allotment process.

The initiative applies only to the DPRP IPO. It cannot be used to purchase shares in other Dangote companies or any other business. Students may participate only in their own names and for their own benefit.

Eligible institutions include universities, polytechnics, colleges of education and other colleges recognised as tertiary institutions by the relevant regulatory authority. Applicants must be enrolled at a qualifying institution when applying. Postgraduate students are excluded.

Interested students should review the initiative’s terms and conditions and the IPO requirements before applying. They should also ensure that their student information and personal details are accurate during verification.

Requirements

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and currently enrolled in an eligible Nigerian public or private tertiary institution. Eligible institutions include universities, polytechnics, colleges of education and other recognised tertiary colleges. Postgraduate students are not eligible. Applicants must complete student verification and apply for at least 10 DPRP IPO shares through the designated student channel. Participation is subject to the initiative’s terms and IPO conditions. Share allotment is not guaranteed.

How to apply

Visit https://ipo.alikodangotefoundation.org/ and complete the required student verification process. Apply for at least 10 shares in the DPRP IPO through the designated student channel.
