The Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) has opened applications for Idea Hub 15, an opportunity for early-stage founders in Lagos to strengthen their businesses through learning and peer networking.
The programme is part of Lagos Innovates, an LSETF initiative supporting technology and innovation-driven startups in Lagos. LSETF describes Idea Hub as an early-stage incubation programme that provides business development support, coaching and access to networks.
Idea Hub 15 will provide participants with orientation and peer networking, allowing founders to connect with other entrepreneurs. It will also feature expert masterclasses covering areas including business development, finance and marketing.
A key part of the programme is Pitch Day, where participating founders will have an opportunity to present their businesses to investors.
The opportunity is aimed at founders who are already building businesses rather than people at the idea stage without an active venture. Applicants are expected to have a Lagos-based business and meet the stated identification and tax requirements.
The programme offers founders an opportunity to sharpen their business strategy, expand their networks and prepare for conversations with potential investors and partners.
Eligibility
Applicants should be early-stage founders resident in Lagos State and operate a Lagos-based business. Applicants must have a Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) Tax Identification Number (TIN) and a Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASRRA) identification number.
