Young people in Kano State can apply for the Tech4Youth Inclusive, Market-Relevant Advanced Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Skills Training and Certification Programme, an initiative designed to equip participants with practical digital skills for the labour market.

The programme is part of Tech4Youth under the Digital Transformation Center (DTC) Nigeria, an initiative implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. It is supported by German Cooperation, the European Union (EU) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.

Tech4Youth focuses on helping young people acquire ICT skills that match labour-market needs while improving employment readiness and creating pathways into the digital economy.

For the Kano programme, training is available in Software Development, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The programme is designed to provide participants with practical, market-relevant skills and certification opportunities.

The Kano programme is being implemented by Saramez Associates and will run for one year across five cohorts. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, allowing eligible applicants to select an available cohort. Only selected candidates will be contacted.

The wider Tech4Youth programme also promotes inclusion, with women and Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) strongly encouraged to participate.

Selected participants will gain technology skills aimed at improving digital competence, employability and readiness for opportunities in Nigeria’s technology sector.

Who can apply

Applicants should be young people aged 18 to 35 who are passionate about building a career in technology and are residents of Kano State. Women and PwDs are particularly encouraged to apply.
