The Federal Government has begun selecting young Nigerians as delegates for the National Youth Confab 2026, with selected participants receiving invitations.
The Confab, convened by the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, allows young Nigerians to contribute ideas and recommendations that can shape national priorities.
The virtual consultation phase began on October 5, 2026, with sessions organised across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones. The North Central session held on October 5 and 6, while the Southeast session was scheduled for October 7 and 8.
The Northwest consultation is scheduled for October 9 and 10, followed by South South on October 12 and 13, Northeast on October 14 and 15, and Southwest on October 16 and 17.
The virtual phase will precede the physical national conference in Abuja, scheduled for October 26 to 30.
Selected delegates are expected to participate in discussions and contribute recommendations towards the outcomes of the Confab.
