The Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP) has informed some fellows that their termination has been overturned following a review of their appeals, according to an email.

The message confirms the recipient’s reinstatement but says further information about resumption and next steps will be communicated later. It specifically instructs the fellow not to resume until the NJFP team sends further communication.
A related NJFP information document addresses fellows terminated over date of birth (DoB) discrepancies. It says those who appealed will be informed about a physical verification exercise in their states and told which documents to bring.
According to the document, eligible fellows may be reinstated after their documents are checked and verified. Those matched with an organisation would resume immediately. If a host organisation is no longer available, a fellow could be moved to the NJFP pool to await possible matching with another organisation or the next placement cycle.
The document also states that fellows reinstated after termination and verified through the stipulated process will be paid for days they were absent because of the termination.
The email shared does not give a resumption date or confirm that every terminated fellow has been reinstated. Participants should therefore rely on individual communication from the programme.
What affected fellows should do
- Keep and read any reinstatement email.
- Do not resume until the NJFP team gives further instructions.
- Prepare relevant documents if invited for physical verification.
- Check registered email accounts for updates.
A reinstatement email sent to one fellow does not mean every appeal has been approved.
How to proceed
Follow the instructions in your own NJFP email and wait for official communication about resumption, verification or placement.
