The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has reportedly fixed Monday, November 2, 2026, to begin Drug Integrity Tests (DIT) for new intakes of agencies under the Ministry of Interior. The directive concerns successful candidates of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB).
This is according to a tasking order dated October 28, 2026, which is circulating online. It was signed by Assistant Commander General of Narcotics (ACGN) Muhammad Bashir Ibrahim, Director of Counselling, Treatment and Rehabilitation. The order said the test is part of the recruitment and intake requirements.
It directed all NDLEA State Commands to prepare well for a smooth, timely and professional exercise. The list of candidates expected at each Command will be sent before the start date to help planning and coordination.
The agency also warned that no State Command or officer may collect money from any candidate or representative of the agencies involved. It said no testing officer should accept payment in cash, by bank transfer, through Point of Sale (POS) terminals or by any other means. The directive, it added, must be observed without exception.
State Commands were also told to document all tests, keep accurate records of the total number of tests conducted and make the needed logistics arrangements. Testing officers must be briefed on the directive to protect the agency’s standards, integrity, transparency and accountability.
What candidates should do
Successful candidates are to sign up for the drug test in line with the CDCFIB official guidelines via their dashboard, and select a booking date from November 2. The drugs integrity test is Free.
