The Evidence Group, Biase Chapter, in partnership with the Cross River State Microfinance and Enterprise Development Agency (MEDA) and the Cross River State ICT Hub, is set to launch a digital skills initiative for 100 youths across Biase Local Government Area.

The programme, known as BIASE BOLD, meaning Building Opportunities Through Learning and Digital Skills, is designed to equip selected participants with practical technology skills, mentorship and enterprise development support.

Under the theme, “Every Ward. Every Youth. One Digital Future,” the 12-week initiative will offer free training in Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital content creation, data analysis, digital marketing and agricultural technology (agritech).

The programme will also include professional mentorship, freelance platform onboarding and pathways to employment, internships and enterprise development. Organisers say the aim is to help young people use their new skills to improve their employment prospects and pursue income-generating opportunities.

Beneficiaries are expected to receive practical training relevant to the digital and agricultural economies, alongside credentials from Biase Local Government Area and the Cross River State ICT Hub.

The initiative will connect participants with professional guidance and enterprise support systems to help them pursue freelance work, establish businesses and access emerging opportunities.

Evidence Group initiator and Special Guest of Honour, Mr Edem Bassey, is expected at the ceremony, alongside Great Ogban, Convener and Coordinator of Evidence Group Biase Chapter, and other government functionaries from Biase.

The partnership aims to help bridge the digital skills gap among Biase youths and expand access to technology education and economic opportunities.
