The Federal Ministry of Education (FME) has opened applications for Batch C, also known as Cohort 3, of its Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Initiative, offering Nigerians free skills training and a monthly stipend of ₦30,000.

The initiative is designed to equip participants with practical skills for employment and entrepreneurship. Training is delivered through certified centres across the country, including federal and state technical colleges, state-owned institutions and registered private vocational centres. The official portal lists two training pathways and a range of vocational trades.

The Short-Term Certificate (STC) programme lasts six months and is intended for beginners, school leavers and people without formal education. The one-year Vocational Education and Innovation (VEI) programme is for applicants with some education or prior informal training who want to formalise or develop their skills.
