Starter kits have arrived at centres for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Cohort Two, allowing trainees to use the equipment during practical lessons before eligible participants receive them at the end of their six-month training.
The development follows a meeting on October 30, 2026, involving the Federal Ministry of Education (FME), Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and TVET centre managers.
Centres may use kits during practical sessions to improve trainees’ hands-on experience.
The kits will be taken back after each session. Eligible trainees in some courses are expected to receive them after completing the six-month programme.
Distribution across approved centres is expected to begin soon.
What trainees should know
Trainees should follow centre instructions and confirm whether their course qualifies for final handover after training.
