The Ekiti State Teaching Service Commission has announced that there will be no designated centres for the upcoming Computer-Based Test (CBT) scheduled to start on Monday for applicants seeking teaching and non-teaching jobs in public secondary schools across the state.
According to a press statement released in Ado-Ekiti, the Permanent Secretary of the Commission, Mr Michael Boluwade, said, “Candidates are expected to take the exam using internet-ready laptops or desktop computers equipped with webcams from their homes or any conducive environment.”
He explained that the use of webcams is to ensure a secure and malpractice-free testing process. This approach supports remote work systems and reduces the need for physical centres, which also lowers government spending.
Mr Boluwade added, “Applicants without access to suitable equipment are advised to visit recognised CBT centres to take their exam. Failure to follow the given guidelines may result in outright disqualification.”

This move is part of the state’s drive toward digital education and job application processes.
