Akoko-Edo LGC Supports Indigenes Recruitment into Nigeria Army

The Akoko-Edo Local Government Council has shown strong support for its indigenes participating in the Nigerian Army recruitment process. This comes in response to the call by Edo State Governor, Sen. Monday Okpebholo, urging eligible youths to take part in the military enlistment.

Led by Rt. Hon. Alabi Bliss Oshionogue, the Council demonstrated its commitment at Ekehuan Barracks, Benin City. Representing the Chairman, Hon. John Topa Okomayin, Secretary to the Council, praised the Federal Government. “We commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his Renewed Hope Agenda, which is clearly bringing development across Nigeria,” he stated.

The Council also recognized the efforts of Governor Okpebholo, noting his proactive steps to enhance economic growth and community unity. “The SHINE Agenda under the Governor’s leadership is impactful and inclusive,” Okomayin added.

In his remarks, the Council Boss encouraged the new recruits. “We urge all prospective Regular Army personnel to stay committed, disciplined, and proud of their roots. They must serve as worthy ambassadors of Akoko-Edo and Edo State,” he said.
