The Federal Ministry of Education has unveiled LUMINAH 2030, a bold initiative to transform the lives of more than 1 million underserved girls and women by the year 2030. The program focuses on education, vocational training, and leadership development, aiming to reduce poverty and gender inequality.

Prof. Suwaiba Said Ahmad called it ā€œa national movement to dismantle exclusion, poverty, and silence.ā€ She emphasized its potential to reshape Nigeria’s future through inclusive learning.

Twelve pilot states have been selected based on data to maximize impact. With 60% of Nigeria’s 15 million out-of-school children being girls, LUMINAH 2030 links educational access to economic empowerment, supported by federal, state, private, and development partners.
