The Nigerian Army has officially announced the commencement of admission into its Nigerian Army College of Nursing (NACON), Yaba-Lagos, for the 2025/26 academic session. According to a statement signed by the Ag Registrar, Lt Col RO Duoboye, registration will begin on Monday, June 23, 2025.
Admission is open to military, paramilitary personnel, and civilians. Interested applicants can apply for the ND/HND Nursing or Community Nursing programmes. “This is a great opportunity for Nigerians who are passionate about building a career in the health sector,” said Lt Col Duoboye.
To qualify, candidates must have at least five credits in relevant O-level subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, obtained in no more than two sittings. Accepted results include WASSCE, GCE, and NECO.
Applicants must be Nigerian by birth and between the ages of 18 and 25 years by October 2025. Additionally, candidates are required to have sat for the 2025 UTME. A minimum score of 160 is needed for ND/HND Nursing, while 130 is required for Community Nursing.
The programme duration is four years for ND/HND Nursing and two years for Community Nursing.
The college strictly warns against engaging with any unauthorised agents. “The college has not authorised anyone directly or indirectly to act as an admission agent. Anyone dealing with any agents apart from the above contacts will be doing so at his or her own risk,” the Registrar warned.
Application forms will be available from June 23 to August 7, 2025. Candidates must upload their O-Level results, school testimonial, birth certificate, certificate of origin, and 2025 UTME result, along with a passport photograph.
The screening examination will take place from August 18 to 21, 2025, at the NACON Complex. Applicants must strictly follow their assigned date and time for the screening.
