June 26, 2025 – Recall that the Federal Government officially notified applicants that the portal for the much-anticipated 2025 Civil Defence, Immigration, Correctional and Fire Service recruitment will go live on Monday, 14th July 2025, instead of Thursday 26 June.

The CDCFIB has again come out to say that the recruitment exercise will run for three weeks through the new portal https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng, and has also released step-by-step guidelines for interested people.

In a statement released today, the Board noted, “All you need to know about our upcoming recruitment is now available. Our portal address is recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng and will be live on the 14th July 2025.”

Note that this paramilitary recruitment covers the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigeria Correctional Service (NCOS) and the Federal Fire Service (FFS).

Applicants must be Nigerian by birth and between the ages of 18 to 35 years. Male applicants are required to be at least 1.65 metres tall with a chest size of 0.87 metres, while females must be at least 1.60 metres tall. All candidates must be medically and physically fit, with no criminal record.

The minimum educational requirement is a Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) with at least four to five credits, including English and Mathematics. However, those with NCE, OND, HND, B.Sc., or higher degrees in fields like law, engineering, medicine, or technical trades are highly encouraged to apply.

Applicants are reminded that only one application is allowed. “Multiple applications will lead to automatic disqualification,” the Board warned.

The step-by-step guide, according to the Board, includes:

1. Click Start Application on the portal and register using a valid email address and phone number.
2. Choose only one agency from either Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigeria Correctional Service, or Federal Fire Service.
3. Select a cadre (Category A: Superintendent Cadre Category B: Inspectorate Cadre Category C: Assistant Cadre)
4. Upload academic documents, birth certificate,
passport photograph, national ID, etc.
5. Check for accuracy before final submission.
6. Print Acknowledgement Slip.

“The application is completely free, and computer literacy is considered an advantage. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for the next stage,” the Board concluded.
