Edo State University Iyamho, located in Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State, has announced urgent vacancies for various academic and non-academic positions. The university is calling on qualified Nigerians to apply to join its growing academic community.
According to a statement signed by the Registrar, Habib I. Ekhalefo, “Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates to urgently fill the academic and laboratory staff vacancies in the institution.”
The academic positions open include Professors, Associate Professors, Senior Lecturers, Lecturer I, Lecturer II, and Assistant Lecturers. These roles cut across several faculties: Arts and Communication, Management and Social Sciences, Applied Health Sciences, Basic Clinical Sciences, Basic Medical Sciences, Clinical Sciences, Engineering, Law, and Science.
The general qualifications include advanced degrees such as Ph.D. and M.Sc., with relevant teaching experience. For example, a Professor must hold a Ph.D. with at least 10 years of experience and have spent two years as an Associate Professor. Computer literacy, ability to teach with multimedia tools, and professional registrations or practicing licenses (especially in medical-related fields) are also mandatory. Applicants must also have published scholarly work and, where possible, have administrative experience.

Interested candidates are directed to visit the university website at https://edouniversity.edu.ng/vacancy and click on Register to complete the application form. “In addition to stating the names and addresses of their referees, applicants should request their referees to forward references directly to the Registrar,” the statement added.
Applicants for the positions of Professor and Associate Professor must submit three bound copies of their publications. The university emphasized that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. The application window closes six weeks from the date of this announcement.
