Recall that the Office of the Special Assistant to the President on Agriculture launched the Green Money Project recently. This is an initiative under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s food security and increasing youth involvement in agriculture.
This is described as an innovative step to empower young farmers and promote agribusiness development.
“The goal is to cultivate youth in agriculture, build agribusiness skills and strengthen our national food systems,” said the President’s agriculture office. Participants will gain modern farming skills and access agribusiness support from the government.
Eligibility:
1. Must be between 18 to 40 years old
2. Must be a Nigerian citizen or permanent resident
3. Must have a minimum of secondary school education
4. Must be resident in any of the 36 states of Nigeria or the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
5. Must have a demonstrated interest or experience in agriculture or agribusiness
6. Must show willingness to participate in training programs and workshops
7. Must have interest in developing or expanding an agricultural business
8. Must possess basic computer and smartphone skills
9. Must be capable of engaging in agricultural activities
10. Must not have previously benefited from similar government agricultural programs
11. Must have a valid government-issued ID (e.g., National ID, Voter’s Card, or Driver’s License)
How to apply:
To register, interested candidates must visit the official Green Money Project website at thegreenmoneyproject.ng/registration. The application requires personal details, a summary of agricultural experience, business interests, and a copy of a valid ID.

After submission, applications will be screened for eligibility. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted for further steps, including scheduled training sessions and orientation.
