The Plateau State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), in partnership with the State Ministry of Education, has announced that the mock examination for the HOPE teaching recruitment program will take place on Wednesday, July 16, 2025.
According to a statement signed by Richard Nanpon Jonah, gnipr, Head of Public Relations and Protocol, “Candidates are required to remain in their respective comfort zones, where a link will be sent to them via their respective email addresses for the mock examination, which will commence at 11:00 a.m.”
Applicants are expected to complete the online test using their Android phones and submit their answers through the provided platform. This mock exam is designed to help candidates become familiar with the system before the main exam.
The actual recruitment examination is scheduled for Saturday, July 19, 2025. Mr. Jonah added, “Successfully registered applicants are expected to proceed to any of the 18 Local Government examination centers nearest to them for the actual examination, which will start at 11:00 a.m. prompt.”
He emphasized that candidates should not travel to their Local Government of origin, but rather attend the nearest and most convenient center.
A key requirement for both tests is the use of an Android phone, fully charged and loaded with mobile data.
This exercise is part of the government’s Human Capital Opportunity Prosperity and Equity (HOPE) initiative to support digital access and fair opportunity in education employment.
