The Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy has announced the start of applications for its Fashion Sector training under the Creative Leap Acceleration Programme (CLAP), in partnership with The Fashion Academy Abuja.

This initiative, according to the Ministry, is “fully sponsored” and aims to equip young Nigerians with “hands-on, industry-focused training” in areas such as pattern making, professional sewing techniques, fashion business, and branding.

The goal is to support emerging designers, tailors, and fashion entrepreneurs who are looking to grow their skills and businesses in Nigeria’s fashion and creative economy.

The application window is open from 4 August 2025 to 11 August 2025.

Interested candidates are to register and complete their application on the official website: www.clap.gov.ng. “Applicants should locate the form under the opportunities tab after registration,” the ministry advised.

With the increasing demand for fashion business development and creative entrepreneurship, this training could open new doors in Nigeria’s growing fashion industry.
