August 12, 2025 – The World Trade Organization Secretariat and the International Trade Centre have confirmed that beneficiaries of the first WEIDE (Women Exporters in the Digital Economy) Fund have been selected.
According to the organizers, 236 women-led MSMEs from the Dominican Republic, Mongolia and Nigeria were chosen from over 69,000 applications.
The selected businesses will receive grants and technical support to expand in the digital economy. “Launch events in each country are coming soon,” a statement read.

The initiative aims to empower women entrepreneurs and boost global trade participation through funding, capacity building, and access to international markets for sustainable economic growth.
