August 14, 2025 – Oyo State Primary Health Care Board has issued a public notice correcting an error in its recent recruitment advertisement. The management explained that the advert mistakenly included vacancies for Junior Community Health Extension Workers (JCHEW) and Auxiliary Nurses.

According to the statement signed by Dr. Akande Abiodun, Director of Special Duties at the Oyo State Primary Health Care Board, the mention of Auxiliary Nurses was an oversight.

He clarified that the approved positions are only for JCHEW and Community-Based Volunteers (CBVs), who are referred to as Auxiliary providers.

“The inclusion of Auxiliary Nurses in the content was unintentional and arose from an error during the preparation of the notice,” the statement read. “The Board is not recruiting Auxiliary Nurses and has no plans to do so at any time in the foreseeable future.”

The Board expressed regret over the mistake and apologised for any confusion caused to the public. It urged residents and applicants to rely only on information from the Board’s official channels to avoid misinformation.

This clarification aims to guide potential applicants and stakeholders as the recruitment process moves forward, ensuring transparency in the state’s healthcare workforce hiring.
