i. Professor
The candidate who must already be a Professor, must have twenty (20) publications, of which sixteen (16) in print out of which four (4) must be in at least three (3) different and regularly published foreign index journals, plus evidence of supervision to completion of three (3) Masters and one (1) PhD degrees.
ii. Reader/Associate Professor
The candidate who should apply must already be a Reader and possesses a PhD in relevant field or its equivalent with evidence of outstanding and continuing achievement/teaching experience in a University. The candidate must also possess Fifteen (15) publications in reputable international and national journals and record of supervision of PhD and Masters Students.
iii. Senior Lecturer
The candidate must have a PhD degree in the relevant field or its equivalent from a recognized institution plus six (6) years post qualification teaching and research experience. The candidate must also have a minimum of ten (10) publications in reputable journals with evidence of continuous research and ability to supervise postgraduate students.
iv. Lecturer I
The candidate must have a PhD degree in the relevant field or its equivalent from a recognized institution plus three (3) years teaching experience and four (4) journal publications, two (2) of which must have been published or PhD with professional registration plus three (3) published journal articles or a Masters degree plus six (6) years teaching experience plus five (5) journal articles, four (4) of which must have been published.
v. Lecturer II
The candidate must have a PhD degree in the relevant field or its equivalent from a recognized institution or a Masters degree plus two (2) journal publication and at least three (3) years post qualification teaching and research experience at the University level. For medical colleges, MBBS, B.Pharm., BNSC Nursing plus professional registration will be considered.
vi. Assistant Lecturer
The candidate must have a good second class honours degree in the relevant field or its equivalent from a recognized institution or a Master degree or first class or second dass upper bachelor degree in the case of a 5-year degree programme (e.g. B.Agric., B. Eng.). For medical colleges, MBBS, B.Pharm., BNSC Nursing plus professional registration will be considered.
Non-teaching staff positions
i. Director of Health Services
The candidate must possess MBBS plus fifteen (15) years post registration experience. The Director should be visionary and have the ability to provide good leadership, must possess personal integrity and demonstrate transparency in private and public life and must be able to command respect and loyalty of staff of the University.
ii. Medical Officer
The candidate must possess MBBS plus one (1) year NYSC or Exception certificate.
iii. Pharmacy Intern
The candidate must possess B.Sc (Pharm) with full registration with the Pharmacist Council of Nigeria plus one (1) year NYSC or Exception certificate.
iv. Medical Laboratory Scientist
The candidate must possess a good first degree in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS), plus registration with the Institute Medical Laboratory Technology of Nigeria (IMLTN) plus one (1) year NYSC or Exception certificate.
v. Medical Records Officer
The candidate must possess a minimum of National Certificate of the Nigerian Health Records Association or National Diploma in Medical Records.
vi. Medical Laboratory Technician
The candidate must possess WASC or SSCE plus three (3) years training and registration with the Institute of Medical Laboratory Technology for Technician Cadre.
