Abia Announces CBT Schedule for Second Batch Teachers’ Recruitment

The Abia State Government has announced the schedule for the second batch of its teachers’ recruitment exercise.

According to the official notice, the Computer Based Test (CBT) for shortlisted applicants will take place from 17th March to 21st March, 2026. Applicants who applied for the exercise are required to log in to their recruitment dashboards to confirm their examination batch, designated centre, and exact date for the test.

Candidates are also expected to print their CBT Exam Admit Card before arriving at the examination venue. The admit card will serve as an important document for identification during the test.

The government also outlined the subjects applicants will be tested on during the CBT. Candidates in the NCE category will sit for English, Mathematics, and General Paper. Applicants in the Degree category will be tested in English, Mathematics, and their specific subject area of specialisation.

Following the CBT, applicants who pass the examination will proceed to the interview stage. The interview exercise is scheduled to hold from Tuesday 24th March to Saturday 28th March, 2026.

Successful candidates invited for the interview must present the originals of several important documents. These include their Birth Certificate or Age Declaration, First School Leaving Certificate, WAEC or NECO Certificate, and their NCE, HND, or Degree Certificate.

Other required documents include the TRCN Certificate where available, a printout of the online application form, the CBT result slip, a timestamped BVN printout not older than two weeks, and a NIN card or printout.
