August 5, 2025 – The Adamawa State Post Primary Schools Management Board has announced the extension of five years after retirement for some teachers in the state. In an official memo dated 5 August 2025, the board stated that the approval was granted by the Executive Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.
According to the memo, “this is to notify the affected officers who are posted to PPSMB Zonal Offices in the State that, they will be posted to various schools as Classroom Teachers to conform with the earlier agreement that warrant their re-engagement.”
The notification, signed from the board’s headquarters at P.M.B. 2260, Yola, directs all zonal directors to take note of the development.
Teachers covered by this extension will continue contributing to quality education in Adamawa State’s public schools under the re-engagement policy.
