June 27, 2025 – The Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), located at the Nigerian Air Force Base, Kaduna, has officially announced the commencement of its Post UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session. The application portal opens on 30th June and will close on 27th July 2025.
The management of AFIT disclosed that prospective students seeking admission into the institution’s undergraduate and national diploma programmes must meet specific requirements to qualify for the screening. For degree programmes, candidates are expected to have a minimum UTME score of 200, while those applying for National Diploma (ND) programmes must score at least 160 in UTME.
“All interested candidates are advised to change their institution of first choice to AFIT on or before 18th July 2025 to be eligible for admission consideration into degree programmes,” the institution stated.
AFIT offers a wide range of degree programmes including B.Eng. Aerospace Engineering, B.Eng. Automotive Engineering, B.Eng. Civil Engineering, B.Eng. Electrical/Electronics Engineering, B.Eng. Information and Communication Technology, B.Eng. Mechanical Engineering, B.Eng. Metallurgical Engineering, B.Eng. Mechatronics Engineering, B.Eng. Telecommunications Engineering, as well as B.Sc. degrees in Physics with Electronics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Mathematics, Physics, and Statistics.
For those interested in National Diploma programmes, available courses include ND Aircraft Engineering Technology, ND Mechanical Engineering Technology, ND Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology, ND Civil Engineering Technology, ND Business Administration and Management, and ND Explosive Ordinance Technology.
The institution also invites applications for its Pre-HND and HND programmes in Aircraft Engineering Technology (Airframe/Power Plant and Avionics options), Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Explosive Ordinance Technology, and Procurement and Supply Chain Management.
Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable screening fee of N2,000 for Degree and ND programmes, and N10,000 for Pre-HND and HND programmes.
