Afreximbank and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding and a Partnership Agreement aimed at boosting investment and development in Africa’s sports industry. The deal was signed by Mrs. Kanayo Awani, Executive Vice President of Afreximbank, and Mr. Véron Mosengo-Omba, Secretary General of CAF.

The partnership will help mobilize financing for modern sports infrastructure, support youth tournaments, and promote Made-in-Africa sportswear across the continent.

“Sports is a powerful enabler of youth empowerment, regional integration, and economic opportunity,” said Mrs. Awani. “Through this partnership, Afreximbank reaffirms its commitment to turning Africa’s talent and creativity into sustainable enterprise.”
