Delivered through Digital Skills for Africa (DSA), the initiative provides access to more than 100 courses in artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, data analytics, cybersecurity, digital marketing, entrepreneurship and professional development.
The scholarship is not a cash grant. Successful applicants receive funded access to eligible DSA courses, allowing them to learn at their own pace and develop practical skills for work, business and further education.
Nigerians are eligible because the opportunity is open to citizens of African countries, including those living abroad. Secondary school students, university students, graduates, entrepreneurs and working professionals may apply. A university degree or previous technical experience is not required.
Requirements
Applicants should:
- Be citizens of an African country, whether living in Africa or abroad.
- Have a free Digital Skills for Africa learner account.
- Demonstrate interest in developing digital skills.
- Be willing to complete self-paced online courses.
- Submit a complete application before the deadline.
- Applicants under 18 may need parental or guardian consent.
Women and girls are especially encouraged to apply. Selection will consider motivation, learning goals, commitment and potential to use acquired skills. Meeting the requirements does not guarantee selection.
Applications are free. Applications opened on November 1 and close on December 1, 2026. Applications will be reviewed from December 2 to 15. Successful candidates are expected to be notified between December 15 and 24, with learning scheduled to begin on January 1, 2027.
