Authorities in Akwa Ibom State have released full guidelines for vendor registration and kiosk allocation for the Christmas Unplugged 3.0 event under the Arise Akwa Ibom initiative. Officials announced that vendor registration will run from Monday, 24 November to Tuesday, 25 November 2025, saying that “all interested vendors must complete their registration on the official portal to qualify for kiosk or space allocation.”

Required registration details include the vendor’s full name, business name, a valid government-issued ID, and a business registration certificate where applicable. Vendors must also choose a preferred operating identity, either a business name or personal name, to support payment verification. The government added that no new registrations will be accepted after 25 November. Interested applicants are directed to visit www.discoverakwaibom.com/register.

Screening of vendors will take place from Wednesday, 26 November to Thursday, 27 November 2025 at the Christmas Unplugged Secretariat, Christmas Park, where officials will carry out physical verification of all submitted documents. According to the announcement, “only vendors who successfully complete the verification process will advance to the purchase stage,” and officials said earlier today that the screening will help maintain order and accuracy.

Sales of spaces are scheduled for Friday, 28 November and Saturday, 29 November 2025. Eligible vendors will be able to purchase available spaces through the portal. Payments must be made only from a bank account that matches the registered personal name or business name, and authorities stated that “payments from third-party accounts will be automatically rejected.”

Vendors are required to transfer the exact amount specified, and any space obtained through third-party purchases will be forfeited without refund. Only vendors with successful purchases will be invited for the official orientation on Sunday, 30 November 2025.

Officials urged all applicants to follow the instructions carefully to avoid delays during the process. For enquiries and complaints, the public may contact 08149555952.
