The Kano State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (KSCHMA) is inviting applications from qualified individuals to serve as ad-hoc staff under the AKY Health Fellows programme. The initiative is part of the agency’s upcoming mass enrolment of vulnerable residents into the health insurance scheme across the 484 wards of Kano State. The programme aims to strengthen access to healthcare services and improve community awareness of the state’s health insurance system.

The vision of KSCHMA is to become a reputable health financing agency that provides access to quality healthcare for all residents of Kano State. Through this programme, selected fellows will support community-based enrolment activities and help expand the reach of the scheme to vulnerable populations.

Successful applicants will be responsible for registering new enrollees into the scheme and sensitising community members on the Basic Healthcare Provision Fund (BHCPF) programmes. They will also conduct advocacy visits to community gatekeepers, including members of Ward Development Committees (WDCs), within their assigned communities.
