Academic Cadres and Requirements
Applicants must possess relevant qualifications with emphasis on their areas of specialisation. Registration with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) is mandatory for all academic roles.
Professor
Candidates must hold a PhD with at least 15 years of teaching and research experience, including a minimum of 3 years as a Reader. Strong publication record and academic leadership are required.
Reader (Associate Professor)
A PhD with at least 12 years of experience and 3 years as Senior Lecturer is required. Candidates must demonstrate research productivity and mentorship experience.
Senior Lecturer
Applicants must possess a PhD with at least 9 years of teaching experience and 3 years as Lecturer I, with proven scholarly publications.
Lecturer I
A Master’s degree with a minimum of 6 years’ experience is required. A PhD is an added advantage. Evidence of research and publications is mandatory.
Lecturer II
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree with at least 3 years’ experience or a PhD. Evidence of research output is desirable.
Assistant Lecturer
A Master’s degree in a relevant field is required, with evidence of research potential.
Graduate Assistant
A First degree with at least Second Class Upper Division is required. Candidates must show interest in academic development.
