The Anambra State Primary Health Care Development Agency (ASPHCDA), in partnership with the Anambra State Ministry of Health and the National Primary Health Care Development Agency, has announced a new recruitment exercise for Community Based Health Workers. The notice was released on 25th August 2025.

According to the statement, this move is in line with the directive of the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, to provide affordable and accessible healthcare services to Ndi Anambra at the grassroots.

Approval has been granted for qualified Nigerians to apply for contractual positions in Communities attached to Primary Health Centres across the state.

The available cadres are:
a. Junior Community Health Extension Workers (JCHEWs)
b. Assistant Community-Based Health Workers

The requirements for application include:
1. Applicants must be Nigerian citizens.
2. Applicants must be registered with their respective Professional Bodies.
3. FSLC, WAEC, JCHEW Certificate, Valid License and NIN.
4. Computer Proficiency is an added advantage.

The application deadline is on or before 8th September 2025.

The interview date has been fixed for 9th September 2025 at 8:00AM, and the venue will be Jerome Ud’orji Secretariat, Aroma, Awka, Anambra State.

Pharm. (Mrs) Chisom Uchem of the Anambra State Primary Health Care Development Agency emphasized that, “all replies should be addressed to the Executive Secretary.”
