Clement Isong Foundation has announced a call for applications for the Youth SDG Storytelling and Solutions Convergence, targeting passionate youths across Akwa Ibom State. The initiative aims to give young people the platform to share real stories and bold solutions addressing Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) challenges in their communities.
According to the organisers, “Not all heroes wear crowns, some are young people who raise their voices, solve problems, or simply care enough to act.” The foundation is inviting participants to spotlight issues they have tackled or seen others address in their communities, such as:
i. No clean water?
ii. Poor access to education?
iii. Youth unemployment?
iv. Climate change or pollution?
Set to hold as part of the International Youth Day 2025 celebrations, the programme will focus on youth-led stories and solutions that highlight real SDG issues faced by communities in Akwa Ibom and how young changemakers are responding.
“This event will amplify youth voices, showcase SDG realities, and explore how young people are leading the way in solving development challenges,” the organisers stated.
Tagged “My SDG Story and Solution Convergence,” the event is designed as an engaging platform to connect and inspire young innovators. The deadline for applications is 9 August.
