The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced fresh job opportunities into mid-level positions within the Federal Fire Service. In a new vacancy advertisement, the Board is inviting applications from eligible civil servants in government ministries, departments, and agencies across federal, state, and local levels.
“The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) is seeking for suitably qualified candidates to fill into the existing Mid-Management positions in the Federal Fire Service,” the statement read.
The available positions are:
i. Deputy Controller of Fire, CONPASS 14
ii. Assistant Controller of Fire, CONPASS 13
iii. Chief Superintendent of Fire, CONPASS 12
iv. Superintendent of Fire, CONPASS 11
v. Deputy Superintendent of Fire, CONPASS 10
Applicants must meet several statutory conditions to be considered for these federal government jobs. The requirements are listed as follows:
a. Applicants must be an employee from Federal, States or Local Governments’ Ministries, Department and Agencies (MDAs)
b. Applicants must have a minimum height of 1.65metres for Males and 1.60metres for Females
c. Applicants must be physically/mentally fit
d. Applicants must possess Letter of Introduction from his/her Government of Origin
e. Applicants must possess Letter of Willingness to be released from his/her employer
f. Applicants must possess evidence of Confirmation of Appointment
g. Applicants must submit three (3) years APER
h. Applicants must submit Certified True Copy (CTC) of Record of Service
i. Applicants must not have any criminal record
j. Applicants must submit copy(ies) of letter of previous appointment(s)
k. Applicant must possess Medical Certificate of Fitness from a Government recognized hospital
l. Applicants must be free from any financial embarrassment
m. Personnel of the Paramilitary Services are not eligible to apply

Candidates are also reminded that “this application is absolutely free.”
The CDCFIB further warns that “multiple applications will automatically disqualify a candidate,” and applicants should apply for only one position.
