The Edo State Civil Service Commission has invited applications from candidates for driver positions in the Edo City Transport Service (ECTS), as part of efforts to fill vacancies in the state civil service.

The recruitment covers two positions: Motor Driver Mechanic, Grade Level 04, and Heavy Lorry Driver, Grade Level 04. Applicants must meet the requirements for their chosen role and submit their applications online through the Commission’s recruitment portal.
Candidates seeking the Motor Driver Mechanic position must possess a First School Leaving Certificate, a valid Class C driving licence and a Class III Trade Test Certificate in Motor Mechanic work. Experience is also required.
Applicants for the Heavy Lorry Driver position must have a First School Leaving Certificate, a valid Class C driving licence and at least two years of satisfactory post-qualification driving experience.
Applications must be submitted within two weeks from the date the vacancy was published. Applicants are advised to apply for only one position, as submitting multiple applications will lead to disqualification.
The Edo State Government said the recruitment exercise is free, fair and merit-driven. It warned applicants not to pay any person or organisation to secure a position, adding that equal opportunity is guaranteed for all eligible candidates.
