The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced that applications are now open for internal and external vacancies for recruitment into mid-management positions in the Federal Fire Service. In the notice signed by A. M. Jibril, Maj Gen (Rtd), and dated 25th November 2025, the Board stated that it is seeking “suitably qualified candidates to fill into the existing Mid-Management positions in the Federal Fire Service.”
According to the statement, the available positions include Deputy Controller of Fire (CONPASS 14), Assistant Controller of Fire (CONPASS 13), Chief Superintendent of Fire (CONPASS 12), Superintendent of Fire (CONPASS 11), and Deputy Superintendent of Fire (CONPASS 10). The Board stressed that candidates are to apply for only one role, adding that “multiple applications will automatically disqualify a candidate.”
The statutory requirements released by CDCFIB highlight that applicants must be employees of Federal, State, or Local Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies. They must also meet minimum height requirements of 1.65 metres for males and 1.60 metres for females, be physically and mentally fit, and possess a Letter of Identification from their Local Government of Origin. Applicants are expected to provide evidence of Confirmation of Appointment, three years APER or PMS, a Certified True Copy of their Record of Service, and copies of previous appointment letters.
The Board added that applicants must not have any criminal record, must be free from financial embarrassment, and must present a Medical Certificate of Fitness from a government-recognized hospital. It also clarified that “personnel of the paramilitary services are not eligible to apply.”
To apply, interested candidates are required to submit their applications to the Secretary to the Board through the dedicated email address info@cdcfib.gov.ng.
All documents must be scanned, attached, and submitted in PDF format within one week of the publication and not later than 15th December 2025. The Board emphasized that “this application is absolutely free.”
