The Performance and Financial Management Officers (PFMO) programme is currently recruiting qualified Nigerians to work as State Oversight Leads across all 36 states and the FCT.
The role is a full-time public health and financial oversight position designed to improve accountability in Nigeria’s primary healthcare system.
PFMOs already operate across all 774 local government areas in Nigeria, helping to monitor healthcare spending, verify data, and ensure public health funds are properly used to support local communities.
Successful applicants will serve as State Oversight Leads and supervise PFMO Consultants within their assigned states.
The position is ideal for professionals with experience in public health, field operations, project management, healthcare monitoring, or financial accountability systems.
What the PFMO State Oversight Lead Will Do
Selected candidates will:
- Lead and supervise teams of PFMO Consultants across their state
- Monitor monthly operational and reporting targets
- Ensure accurate financial and programme data collection
- Work with government agencies and public health stakeholders
- Support transparency and accountability in healthcare spending
- Coordinate field activities and consultant performance
