Invictus Africa has announced a nationwide hiring exercise for Data Enumerators to support a short-term research project across Nigeria and get paid ₦100,000. The assignment will run for two weeks and cover all the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
Selected enumerators will work for 10 consecutive working days and earn ₦10,000 per day, bringing the total payment to ₦100,000 for the full assignment.
The opportunity is open to individuals who want to work in a fun and vibrant environment with a young enthusiastic team of professionals, while contributing to the promotion of human rights and gender equality through data-driven advocacy, digital technologies, and capacity development. The daily payment covers fieldwork time and local travel within the assigned senatorial district.
The enumerators will support field operations for a national survey focused on voter attitudes, past behaviour, and future voting intentions toward women, youth, and persons with disabilities as political candidates and leaders in Nigeria. The call is for Data Enumerators on a two-week assignment, with three positions available per state to cover each of the three senatorial districts.
The work will take place within two local government areas, one urban and one rural, in the selected senatorial district. Enumerators are expected to administer structured questionnaires using KoboCollect, ensure accuracy and completeness of responses, and properly document all data collected. They will also interpret interview questions in local dialects where necessary, capture GPS coordinates and photos of field activities, and submit daily field reports in an approved format.
Other responsibilities include obtaining free and informed consent from respondents and ensuring confidentiality and ethical standards in line with Invictus Africa’s data protection principles and the humanitarian principle of do no harm.
For qualifications, applicants must have a diploma or higher in any field and a minimum of two years of experience in field-based data collection or research. They must demonstrate the ability to use digital data collection tools such as KoboCollect, have access to a compatible smartphone or tablet, and possess basic Microsoft Office skills. Familiarity with a chosen senatorial district, fluency in English and the dominant local language, and the ability to meet daily targets and strict deadlines are also required.
