The Kano State Government has announced a new opportunity for health professionals, offering fully sponsored Foreign Training Master’s Programme for eligible doctors and nurses with Bsc in clinical medicine.
This initiative was approved under the leadership of His Excellency, the Executive Governor Alh. Abba Kabir Yusuf.
According to an official notice released by the Kano State Hospitals Management Board on July 22, 2025, the program is aimed at improving clinical healthcare services by providing advanced medical education to professionals holding a Bachelor of Science degree.
“This sponsorship is part of the government’s commitment to strengthening the capacity of our health sector,” stated Dr. Mansur Mudi Nagoda, Executive Secretary of the board.
The approved training courses include:
a. Dermatology (skin Doctor)
b. Nephrology
c. Intensive Care Medicine
d. Dialysis Technology and Care
e. Kidney Transplant Surgery
f. Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)
g. Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
h. Pediatrics Surgery
i. Neurology
j. ENT
k. Dialysis Nurses
l. Dialysis biomed engineers
m. Psychiatrist
n. Interventional Cardiology
o. Interventional Orthopedics
p. Interventional Radiology
q. Cancer Care Nurses and Oncologist
r. Prosthesis
s. Ophthalmic Nurse and Ophthalmologist
The deadline for submission is Monday, 28th July 2025.
How to apply:
All interested candidates are advised to submit a written application addressed to the Executive Secretary, Kano State Hospitals Management Board, along with copies of their credentials and supporting documents.
“Only eligible candidates will be considered for shortlisting and interview,” Dr. Nagoda emphasized.
