Kogi State University, Kabba (KSUK), has officially announced internal and external vacancies for qualified academic and non-teaching staff.
The institution has commenced a massive recruitment drive, and was established to serve the educational needs of Kogi State and Nigeria. It is currently in its second academic session.
KSUK features three main faculties: Arts and Humanities, Management, Administration & Social Sciences, and Science and Computing. With 25 academic programmes already running, the university continues to grow as a center of public higher education in Nigeria.

REQUIREMENTS FOR QUALIFICATION
i. PROFESSOR
A Ph.D holder with a minimum of ten years teaching experience at University level; A minimum of three years as Reader in the University; Postgraduate supervision at Ph.D or equivalent level. Considerable background of research with a minimum of 24 publications, 8 of which may be edited conference proceedings. Continuous productive research activity with the achievement of the status of an acknowledged authority in the area of specialization; Dissemination of knowledge through professional and academic activities; Academic leadership; Favourable external assessment and evidence of profound community Service.
ii. READER
A Ph.D holder with a minimum of eight years teaching experience at University level; A minimum of three years as Senior Lecturer in the University; Postgraduate supervision at Ph.D or equivalent level. Considerable background of research with a minimum of 18 publications, 6 of which may be edited Conference Proceedings. Productive research activity aimed at attaining the status of an acknowledged authority in the area of specialization; Dissemination of knowledge through professional and academic activities; Academic leadership; Favourable External Assessment and evidence of profound Community Service.
iii. SENIOR LECTURER/PRINCIPAL LIBRARIAN
A Ph.D holder with a minimum of 3 years experience as Lecturer I and who has a minimum of 10 publications of which not more than 4, may be edited conference proceedings. Must demonstrate strong evidence or potential for continued research activity and academic leadership.
iv. LECTURER I/SENIOR LIBRARIAN
A Ph.D holder who has been Lecturer II for a minimum of 3 years; with at least 5 publications, not more than 2 may be edited conference proceedings. A Master’s degree holder who has been Lecturer II for a minimum of 3 years, and who possesses a minimum of 7 publications, of which not more than 2, may be edited conference proceedings.
v. LECTURER II/LIBRARIAN I
A Ph.D Degree. A holder of a Master’s Degree with 3 years cognate experience plus three research publications of which one may be an edited conference proceeding.
vi. ASSISTANT LECTURER/LIBRARIAN II
A holder of a Master’s Degree from a recognized institution and who has a minimum of Second-Class Division in the First Degree.
vii. ASSISTANT LIBRARIAN

Candidates must be a Registered Nurse from a School of Nursing Licensed by Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN). Additionally, candidates must be computer literate.
