Leventis Foundation Nigeria Agricultural Training School has opened applications for the 2026 Agricultural Training Programme. The programme is a free one-year residential training designed to equip young Nigerians with practical skills in modern agriculture and agribusiness.
Free admission is open for the 2026 session, offering participants the opportunity to undergo intensive training in agribusiness without paying tuition or accommodation fees.
About
The Leventis Foundation Nigeria is a charitable organisation dedicated to empowering youths and farmers through training in modern, sustainable agricultural practices and the responsible use of natural resources.
Since its inception in 1987, the Foundation has remained at the forefront of agricultural capacity development in Nigeria. It operates six agricultural training schools strategically established across different agro-ecological zones of the country. These schools are located in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Osun State, Kano State, and Gombe State, and are co-funded by the Leventis Foundation and their respective State Governments. Over the years, thousands of graduates from these schools have gone on to establish successful farming and agribusiness ventures.

The Leventis Foundation 2026 Agricultural Training Programme is aimed at equipping young men and women with the practical knowledge, technical skills, and entrepreneurial mindset required to build sustainable careers in agriculture and strengthen Nigeria’s food systems. The programme focuses on promoting sustainability in agriculture and food production through environmentally responsible practices, efficient resource management, and value addition.
The schools provide comprehensive one-year training programmes designed for individuals passionate about farming and agribusiness. Participants gain hands-on experience across diverse areas of agriculture, agricultural value chains, and farm enterprises, combining classroom instruction with practical fieldwork.
Tuition, Accommodation, and Feeding are FREE OF ALL CHARGE.

Entry Qualification
- Be between 18 and 40 years old
- Have a strong desire to build a career in agribusiness
- Be able to speak, read, and write English (evidence of a minimum of Junior Secondary School Certificate may be required)
- Be physically fit
- Pass both written and oral tests before final selection
- Demonstrate a clear and genuine interest in agriculture
- Proof of a farming background is an added advantage

Candidates are required to come with the following documents on the day of the examination:
- A handwritten cover letter
- A letter of attestation signed by either the Chairman or Secretary of your Local Government of Origin or a Justice of the Peace (JP)
- Two recent passport-sized photographs
- Three reference letters
- Photocopies of academic qualifications or any other relevant documents
Candidates who live close to any of the school locations may also submit a physical application.
