“The future won’t wait, why should you?” MTN said in a public statement to announce the launch. The academy aims to bridge the digital skills gap that is limiting opportunities for young Africans. According to MTN, this initiative is focused on increasing access to high-demand skills that can lead to employment or self-employment.
The platform offers training in several digital career paths, including Product Analysis, Software Development, Data Analysis, and Social Media Management. These roles are vital in today’s tech-driven world and can help young people secure high-paying remote jobs or build profitable online businesses.
“Learn digital skills for free to kickstart your career within the digital economy,” MTN encouraged. Participants will also earn certifications in areas such as Data Analytics, Project Management, and Social Media Marketing.
To help users choose the best career path, MTN includes a career guidance questionnaire. Learners will also have access to free digital and financial courses from MTN’s trusted partners.
