Young Nigerians with groundbreaking tech ideas now have an opportunity to gain government and international support. The NextGen Innovation Challenge portal will open on 28 May 2025 (Wednesday), giving inventors across the country a chance to register and submit their innovations.
This initiative is part of the Renewed Hope Agenda by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, focused on empowering youths, promoting entrepreneurship, and encouraging digital transformation. The program is powered by the National Board for Technological Innovations (NBTI) in partnership with UKALD.
According to the organisers, “This challenge will help bridge the gap between invention and real business success. It’s not just about creating – it’s about turning your ideas into profitable products.”
The event is designed to help young people in all 774 local government areas by connecting them with global investors and innovators.

The program is led by Dr. Kazeem Kolawole Raji of NBTI and supported by Prof. Hari Mohan, a top innovation consultant from London South Bank University. This is a major opportunity for tech talent in Nigeria looking to grow in innovation, entrepreneurship, and global technology.
