The Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State, has officially announced the commencement of its online application process for admission into the 12th Regular Course Degree Programmes.
According to the Academy, the online portal for applications will be open for six weeks, starting from 28th July 2025 and will close on 8th September 2025.
Qualified candidates from across Nigeria are invited to apply for this opportunity, which combines academic training with police education. “The application is open to interested members of the public who meet the required qualifications,” the Registrar, Barr. Ekpere Fidelis Ezeugwu, stated.
Applicants who are successfully admitted into the Academy’s degree programmes will undergo a combined academic and police training for a minimum of five years.
At the end of the training, they will be awarded a bachelor’s degree and commissioned into the Nigeria Police Force as Assistant Superintendent of Police II (ASP).

Admission into the Nigeria Police Academy is highly competitive, and only candidates who meet the full requirements will be considered.
The Registrar emphasized that all candidates must follow the instructions carefully and ensure accurate submissions.
Admission requirements:
1. Applicants shall be of Nigerian origin by birth and possess National Identity Number (NIN), JAMB result (2025 only) with not less than 180 marks, and must have selected Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil as first choice in the JAMB form.
2. Applicants must possess a minimum of 6 credits in not more than 2 sittings in WAEC/NECO or its equivalent with credit passes in English and Mathematics.
3. Applicants must be aged between 16-21 years by 31st October, 2025.
4. Applicants must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit and must not be less than 1.67m tall for male and 1.64m tall for female.
5. Applicants must not have less than 86cm (34 inches) expanded chest measurement (for male only).
6. All Applicants must not be married or pregnant at the time of admission
7. Applicants must have a valid email address and phone number.
8. SSCE statement of results or certificates relating to examinations taken before 2021 will not be accepted.
All applicants will be required to take part in an Aptitude Test (Computer Based) which will be conducted at the Academy’s ICT Centre.
The exact date for this examination will be announced later.
The Registrar also noted that, “Applicants who meet the minimum mark in the Computer Based Test will be invited for an automated physical screening exercise.”
This exercise will also take place at the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State. During the physical screening, applicants must present original copies of their documents.
These documents include:
i. Educational Qualifications, Birth Certificate/Declaration of Age, and Evidence of physical/mental fitness from a government recognized Hospital.
ii. Evidence of good character from village/district head of the applicant.
iii. Indigene Certificate signed by Local Government Chairman or Secretary.
iv. Guarantor Form from a Public Servant not below GL13, Police Officer not below the rank of CSP or its equivalent from the Armed Forces and other Paramilitary services.
The Academy has set up an automated medical screening process, which will be conducted for applicants who pass the aptitude test to ensure that only candidates who meet the health and physical requirements proceed further.
After the medical screening, qualified candidates will undergo an automated interview and selection exercise.
All successful candidates will be contacted via their email and phone numbers with the next steps. Training at the Nigeria Police Academy will then begin on a date to be communicated later.

There, applicants can generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) Code. The RRR is to be used for the payment of a non-refundable fee of Six Thousand Naira (N6000.00), which includes Two Thousand Naira (N2000.00) for the POST UTME Examination.
After payment is made through any commercial bank in Nigeria, candidates can complete the online application form. Additionally, applicants must upload the following:
i. scanned copies of their SSCE
ii. Birth Certificate
iii. Certificate of Origin
Applicants must print their completed online form, guarantor form and submit same at the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State, during the aptitude test.
The Registrar, Barr. Ekpere Fidelis Ezeugwu, stressed that all information provided must be accurate and verifiable. He advised applicants to keep checking their email and SMS for updates on test dates and other important notices.
