June 30, 2025 – The Ondo State Civil Service Commission, Akure, has officially announced a new recruitment drive for Forest and Produce Officers within the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. The recruitment targets qualified graduates for placement on Salary Grade Level 08 in the Forestry & Produce Sub-sector based in Alagbaka, Akure.
According to a public service announcement signed by Omotay Omotayo Akeju, Administrative Secretary, “The Civil Service Commission hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Forest and Produce Officers.”
To be eligible for the post of Forest Officer, applicants must hold a degree in Forestry, Forest Resource Management, Agriculture, Agronomy, Plant Zoology, Botany/Biology, Forest Engineering, Forest Utilization, Timber Technology, or Wood Science from a recognized university.
For the position of Produce Officer, a degree in Agricultural or Biological Sciences is required. All applicants must have completed the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program or provide a valid exemption letter.
Other mandatory requirements include physical and mental fitness, presentation of a valid birth certificate or affidavit of age declaration, state of origin certificate duly signed, and an age limit of not more than 45 years.
The Commission warned that “Candidates who do not satisfy the requirements of this advert are advised not to apply.”
This recruitment drive aligns with Ondo State’s efforts to boost agricultural development and natural resource management. Job seekers are encouraged to apply early and ensure all documents are properly submitted before the stated deadline.
