September 8, 2025 – Plan International Nigeria has announced the call for applications for the 2025 Cohort (Phase 3) of its Thrive Programme, a youth-focused capacity-building platform aimed at equipping young people, especially girls, with skills and opportunities to create sustainable futures.
According to the organization, “the Thrive Programme is designed to improve knowledge and skills, imbue young people with long-lasting values, and provide them with adequate opportunities to thrive and contribute meaningfully to their communities.”
The programme will cover key areas such as project management, monitoring and evaluation, mental health, communications and influencing, photography, and the intricacies of job applications. Other courses will also be introduced to help participants navigate today’s changing world and build competencies for long-term growth.
Eligibility criteria for the selection are outlined as follows:
1. Applicants should be at least 18 years old and not older than 30 by 1st October 2025
2. Adolescents, young women, and persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply

As part of the requirements, candidates must either submit a one-minute video in MP4 format or a 400-word document written in English, single-spaced, using Arial font size 12. This submission must clearly highlight:
i. Why applicants are interested in the program
ii. How the program will be of benefit to the applicant in the long run
iii. What makes them the best candidate
Plan International Nigeria emphasized that the video must be clear and steady with minimal distractions and background noises, recorded with the applicant facing the camera, showing face and shoulders. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted after the review process.
