The Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy has called on organisations to apply for its 3MTT Partner Network as part of efforts to scale Nigeria’s digital talent ecosystem.
The ministry said the initiative is designed as a structured, six-tier platform connecting organisations to what it described as Nigeria’s largest digital talent programme, with over 1.87 million fellows, employers, innovators and institutions already within its pipeline.
According to the ministry, the move is critical to addressing Nigeria’s growing digital skills gap and unlocking economic opportunities, especially as the country targets a $1tn economy by 2030.
It noted that about 70 per cent of Nigeria’s over 240 million population is under 30, with roughly 3.5 million young people entering the labour market annually, stressing that the need for digital skills development is immediate.
The programme, under the 3 Million Technical Talent initiative, has so far trained over 160,000 fellows across three cohorts in all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, with more than 10,000 delivery partners operating nationwide.
The ministry further disclosed that over 1.87 million prospective participants are already registered in the pipeline, signalling strong demand for digital skills and opportunities across the country.
It added that the Federal Government has committed over N10bn in the 2026 budget to support the programme, alongside a €5m partnership with the European Union aimed at scaling its impact over five years.
Under the Partner Network, organisations can participate across six categories, including training delivery, employment creation, skills intelligence, innovation, funding, and media amplification.
The ministry said notable organisations such as Airtel Nigeria, MTN Nigeria, IHS Towers and Google have already partnered with the programme, contributing funding, infrastructure, and training support to expand its reach.
It stated that the initiative is transitioning into a national talent operating system, aimed at connecting skilled Nigerians to jobs, innovation opportunities, and enterprise development.
The ministry added that organisations joining the network at this stage would help shape the structure of Nigeria’s digital talent ecosystem while gaining early access to talent pipelines and partnership opportunities.
Interested organisations are required to complete an online application form, after which a partnership manager will engage them to align objectives before onboarding.
